What is Aviane?

Aviane is a birth control pill. Aviane contains a combination of estrogen and progesterone, two hormones involved in conception, and prevent ovulation. Aviane causes changes in cervical mucus and uterine lining, making it more difficult for sperm to reach the uterus and prevents adhesion of the fertilized egg to the uterus.

Aviane Warnings

Aviane may reacts to the following conditions:

* High blood pressure, angina, or heart disease
* Have had stroke
* Clotting disorder or blood bleeding
* Breast cancer, uterine cancer and other hormone-related
* Liver disease or yellowing of the eyes and skin
* Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, abnormal
* Headaches
* Asthma
* Seizure or epilepsy

If you have any of these conditions, your doctor may be inhibited using Aviane or may need to adjust your dosage.

Aviane belongs to the category X FDA pregnancy, which means it can cause birth defects. Do not take this drug if you are pregnant or suspect that you are pregnant. This drug can also cause a decrease in milk production. Inform your doctor if you are nursing a baby.

Do not smoke while taking Aviane. Smoking increases the risk of developing:

* Heart Attack
* Movement
* Blood clot formation

Aviane offers no protection against sexually – transmitted disease, which may include HIV or AIDS.

Aviane may also interact with other drugs and cause undesirable effects. Inform your doctor if you are taking drugs with the exception of Aviane.

Product Guidelines Aviane

Take Aviane drug as instructed by your doctor. If there are things that you do not understand, discuss with your doctor, nurse or pharmacist. Take the pill on the first Sunday after your period unless instructed otherwise by your doctor. Take a pill daily and not more than 24 hours after your last dose.

If you are following a 28-day cycle, take 1 pill daily and when the package works with out discard it. Use another package the next day.

If you are following the 21-day cycle, take 1 pill daily when the package runs out, stop taking Aviane for 7 days. Resume taking the drug on the 8th day after the last dose.

Aviane Overdose

An overdose of this product may include any of the following:

* Nausea
* Vomiting
* Menstrual bleeding

Death is not likely to occur but seek immediate medical attention if you experience these symptoms or if you suspect that you have taken Aviane more than you owe.

Aviane Missed Dose

The lack of a dose increases your risk of pregnancy. The package insert generally has instructions regarding missed doses. If you do not, ask your doctor, nurse, pharmacist.

When you miss a dose, the lines of conduct are generally:

* If you miss a single dose, take it as soon as you remember or admit 2 pills on your next dose.
* If you miss two consecutive doses, take the 2 pills as soon as you remember or take the 2 pills together with you the next dose. You can also take 2 pills each in the two subsequent doses.
* If you miss three consecutive doses, throw away the package and begin to take the pills again 7 days after your last dose.

Aviane Side Effects

Aviane May have serious side effects or allergic reactions, including:

* Difficulty breathing
* Closing of the throat
* Swelling of the lips, tongue or face
* Hives
* Blood clot in the lung
* Blood clot in the arm or leg
* Liver Damage

If you experience any of these side effects, stop taking the drug and inform your doctor immediately.

It also has less serious side effects, including:

Headache or dizziness
* Nausea or vomiting
* Indent the gap
* Breast tenderness

These effects may go away with time. If you continue to be bothersome, however, tell you doctor.

Aviane also has rare side effects, which may include:

* Depression
* Changes in weight or appetite
* Vaginal yeast infection
* Changes in menstrual cycle
* Acne
* Changes in libido
Lethargy or fatigue
* Swelling
* Changes in skin color
* Changes in blood sugar levels

These side effects are not serious, but talk to your doctor if you experience any of these.

Other side effects may also occur. Inform your doctor if you experience unusual after or while taking Aviane medication.

Drug Reactions Aviane

Aviane may react with the following drugs:

* Antibiotics such as penicillin, amoxicillin, ampicillin, becampicillin, carbenicillin, cloxallin, dicloxallin, nafcillin, oxacillin, or penicillin
* Tetracycline antibiotics such as demeclocycline, doxycycline, minocycline, or tetracycline
* A barbiturate such as amobarbital, butabarbital, mephobarbital, secobarbital or phenobarbital
* Rifampin
* Phenytoin
* Carbamazepine
* Griseofulvin

Diminish the effectiveness of the pills and birth control can cause pregnancy.

Drugs other than those listed here may also interact with Aviane. Inform your doctor if you are taking drugs with the exception of Aviane.
